Felele road accident: Kogi Governor expresses shock

Kogi state Governor Yahaya Bello has expressed shock and sorrow over the fatal motor accident involving a diesel-carrying articulated vehicle which led to many deaths in the early hours of Wednesday on Felele Highway, Lokoja.

The Reporters,an online publication,reports that the accident,which also resulted into explosion.

Onogwu Muhammed, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor in a statement available to the media out in Lokoja said the governor was very sad to learn of the tragic loss of lives and many vehicles, property as well as other valuables destroyed.

Bello,he added, expressed deepest condolences to the families of those affected by the ugly occurrence.

He qouted the Governor as saying that the accident was the greatest tragedy the state had witnessed in recent times.

Bello, therefore, urged students of Kogi State Polytechnic to remain calm and be peaceful, adding that he also shared in their grief over the death of some of their colleagues in the auto crash.
