The 36 Political Elevation Group (36 PEG), a non-partisan political advocacy organisation, has unveiled a strategic overhaul aimed at strengthening its role in Nigeria’s electoral process and promoting credible leadership across the country.
In a welcome address delivered by its President, Prince Dan Olaitan Dada, the group said the reforms were designed to “rejig, reposition, and rework” its operational framework to improve performance ahead of future elections.
Dada said the changes followed extensive consultations with political stakeholders and reflect 36 PEG’s commitment to deepening democratic values and supporting accountable leadership through free and fair elections.
He reaffirmed that 36 PEG remains a stabilising force and “body of normalcy and sanity” within Nigeria’s political space, maintaining its non-partisan posture while actively engaging in electioneering activities.
According to him, the organisation’s involvement in elections is structured and formalised through agreements with candidates and their political parties. Such agreements, he explained, ensure alignment between 36 PEG’s mobilisation efforts and official campaign structures for coordinated electoral outcomes.
“Our focus is largely on mobilising diaspora indigenes who are registered voters. We also encourage unregistered voters to register and assist those registered outside their states to transfer their voter registration in line with INEC provisions,” Dada stated.
The President said 36 PEG’s track record shows that candidates it has supported have consistently recorded electoral success in contests where the group was actively involved.
As part of its current engagements, 36 PEG disclosed its support for Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State under the Accord Party, and Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa in Kwara State under the APC.
Dada expressed confidence in the group’s grassroots mobilisation strategy and its structured collaboration with campaign teams, saying the organisation is optimistic about the success of the candidates it is backing.
In his remarks, the Director-General of 36 PEG, Hon. Chief Sanmi Oluleye, described the President’s address as a clear articulation of the group’s mission and operational philosophy. He said 36 PEG remains committed to fostering credible and accountable leadership across Nigeria through its network and expertise.
With its renewed strategy and ongoing political engagements, 36 PEG says it is poised to play a more prominent role in shaping Nigeria’s democratic trajectory ahead of the forthcoming elections.
