Ododo Commends Military For Successful Rescue of Kidnap Victims in Kogi

The Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has commended the Nigerian military for their bravery and swift response in tackling security challenges across the state, describing their recent operations as a major breakthrough towards restoring peace and stability in affected communities.

The governor gave the commendation on Tuesday during a solidarity visit to the Maigumeri Barracks, Lokoja,the headquarters of the 12 Brigade Nigerian Army, where he met with officers and men leading ongoing security operations against criminal elements in parts of the state.

During the visit, military authorities presented several kidnapped victims who were successfully rescued in recent operations conducted across different communities in Kogi State.

The Brigade also displayed recovered ammunition and other items seized from suspected criminals during the operations.

Addressing the troops and the rescued victims, Ododo praised the courage and professionalism of the soldiers, assuring them of his administration’s continued support.

He reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with security agencies to combat insecurity and safeguard lives and property across the state.
