The Magongo Development Association (MDA) has announced that a comprehensive Security Summit which will hold on December 3, 2025, at the Magongo Civic Centre, beginning at 10:00 a.m. prompt.
In a statement signed by the National President of the association,Prince Jordan Akpata and made a copy to The Reporters in Lokoja on Wednesday, the summit is aimed at addressing emerging security challenges in Magongo community.
Prince Akpata added that the summit is designed to provide a unified platform where community members and institutions can discuss proactive measures for safeguarding lives and property.
According to to him, the event will bring together traditional rulers, age grades, clubs, associations, market women, farmers, MDA branches, and other relevant stakeholders.
” The goal is to promote a sense of urgency, shared responsibility, and readiness to take decisive actions that enhance community security,” Akpata said.
The MDA National President noted that the security of any society thrives when everyone plays an active role, stressing that protecting vulnerable groups requires deliberate collaboration, timely information sharing, and sustained commitment from the people.
He, therefore,called on all residents and stakeholders to attend, fully participate, and be prepared to make the necessary sacrifices as the community charts new pathways for peace and safety.
“The summit is expected to produce actionable recommendations that will strengthen security consciousness and foster a united front against criminal activities,”he added.
