The Kogi Central Think Tank Forum (KCTTF) has hailed the recent reconciliation meeting between former Governor Yahaya Bello and former Clerk of the National Assembly, Alhaji Mohammed Sani (Ataba), describing it as a welcome development for peace and unity in Egbiraland.
The Forum, chaired by Dr. Haroun Opotu Yussuff, expressed its delight during its monthly meeting in Lokoja on Wednesday.
Members noted that the move has the potential to heal political rifts and strengthen harmony between two prominent sons of Egbiraland, if pursued with sincerity and commitment.
The group also commended the ongoing reconciliatory efforts among political leaders in Kogi Central, urging stakeholders to prioritize peace-building as a pathway to greater development in the senatorial district and the state at large.
In the same vein, the Forum welcomed the return of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, to the National Assembly,stressing that her presence would further enrich political inclusiveness and representation for the people of Egbiraland.
KCTTF appealed to the state government to muster the Political Will to address the perennial water scarcity in Egbiraland, which it described as a major challenge facing communities in the district.
