President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm felicitations to the former Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, on the occasion of his 50th birthday.

The President described Bello’s milestone as a significant achievement and an opportunity for reflection on a life of public service and leadership.

In a statement released by the Presidency, President Tinubu praised Yahaya Bello for his historic rise to political prominence as the youngest democratically elected governor in Nigeria’s Fourth Republic.

He acknowledged Bello’s contribution to reshaping narratives around youth involvement in politics and governance across the country.

President Tinubu noted that Bello’s tenure as Governor of Kogi State brought a renewed focus on youth empowerment, education, and infrastructural development, noting that Bello’s bold approach and political engagement remain noteworthy.

The President prayed for the former governor’s continued good health, strength, and fulfilment in all future endeavors and encouraged hom to remain committed to national development and unity, even outside of elected office.

Our correspondent recalls that Alhaji Bello served as the Governor of Kogi State from 2016 to 2024 and was known for his strong political stance and appeal among young Nigerians.

His 50th birthday has attracted greetings from political allies, associates, and well-wishers across the country.
