The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has expressed deep appreciation for the remarkable improvements made in the preparation of facilities at the sacred sites of Mina and Arafat ahead of this year’s Hajj.

Speaking during an inspection tour on Tuesday in Makkah, NAHCON’s Deputy Coordinator at the Makkah Office, Alhaji Alidu Shutti, gave thanks to Allah for granting the commission the opportunity to witness significant progress in the welfare arrangements for Nigerian pilgrims.

“This is truly a blessing from Allah. What we have seen today at Mina and Arafat gives us hope that our pilgrims will worship in greater comfort and dignity.

The improvements in the bedding and the cooling systems are clear signs of progress, and we thank Allah for guiding the hands of the service providers,” Shutti said.

He noted that the inspection was carried out to ensure that all logistics are in place so that pilgrims can fulfill their religious duties with ease and focus on spiritual reflection during the sacred rites of Hajj.

Also speaking, the NAHCON Saudi Liaison Officer, Ustaz Abubakar Lamin, lauded the dedication of the service providers and acknowledged the visible transformations at the holy sites.

“We are grateful to Almighty Allah for enabling this progress. “NAHCON will continue to monitor the facilities closely to ensure that pilgrims perform their rites without hindrance. “Our ultimate goal is to serve the guests of Allah in the best way possible,” Lamin said.

Our correspondent reports that the inspection comes as pilgrims prepare their hearts and souls for the journey of a lifetime, a journey that renews faith, promotes unity, and deepens submission to the will of Allah.
