The Executive Council of the ABU Alumni Association, Kogi State Branch, has called on members to show strong support and attend in full force to welcome the President, Worldwide, of the Association, Alhaji Adamu Mamnan Kontagora.
The Branch Chairman, Engr. Mohammed Sagir, made the appeal in a statement signed by the Social Welfare/Publicity Secretary, Alhaji D.U. Ahmed, in Lokoja on Monday.
Engr. Sagir further mentioned that, on the sidelines of the event, Alhaji Kontagora plans to meet with local alumni to discuss the future direction of the branch.
Engr.Sagir wrote:” Dear members, this is to inform you that the President,World Wide, of our association will visit Lokoja on February 26,2025.
“He is to attend the 24 Inaugural Lecture, organized by Federal University, Lokoja,to be delivered by Prof. Musa Adeku Ibrahim,an alumnus of ABU on February 26,2025.
“Besides his attendance at the inaugural,the President of the association has expressed his determination to meet with us before returning to his base in Portharcourt, Rivers state.
“In this regard,the Exco is urging members to turn,en masse, at the occasion which starts at the Adankolo campus by 4.p.m to honor the lecturer and also create time to interact with our revered president.”
