Maiduguri

The Borno Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has directed immediate release of salaries and pensions to enable workers and retirees prepare early for Sallah.

In his message to workers and pensioners, shared online, the goveenor said even though the month was just half way, the early payment was to prevent rush preparations for Sallah.

According to Zulum, the early approval for workers’ salary is to ensure that they are not exposed to demand-triggered inflation in cost of food, clothing and services.
