An Abuja-based journalist and public commentator, Comrade Omeiza Ajayi, has congratulated the Governor-elect of the state, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman on the occasion of his 49th birthday, describing him as God-sent.
Ajayi, who is the Secretary, Press Corps of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, at its National Secretariat in Abuja, disclosed this in an interview with our correspondent in Lokoja.
He said; “On behalf of myself, Omeiza Ajayi and the good people of Okehi Local Government, I wish His Excellency, the Governor-elect, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman OAU, a glorious 49th birthday.
“Your Excellency, may your days be bright and merry; long and beautiful”.
The Kogi-born journalist called on the people of the state to join hands with the incoming Administration to complement efforts of the outgoing Administration of Governor Yahaya Bello to lift millions of Kogites out of poverty.
“The Governor-elect was one of the architects of the 32-year development blueprint of the present Administration of His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello and so I have no doubt about his capability to hit the ground running as from January 27.
“Alhaji Ododo is not a stranger to governance. He is not coming to learn on the job. He already understands all the nuances of governance.
“Commendably, the governor has been moving with him across Nigeria, even before the elections, introducing him to development partners, colleague-governors, top Federal elements and the Presidency.
“There is no better time than now to join hands with government to translate its policies into tangible gains for all”, he stated.
