The chief lecturer called on captains of industry in Nigeria to synergise with the academics and establish thriving research and development unit to engage researchers in solving many of the social and economic problems in the country among other advantages.
He also called on big companies such as Dangote group of company and others to sponsor Professorial chair to engage many professors who could help proffer solutions to the nation’s problems and move the country forward.
He expressed concern that many professors are under utilised, adding that they must be effectively engaged in national development.
