KOGI EAST JNI MARKS HIJRAH DAY AT ANYIGBA

The Kogi East Branch of
Jama’atu Nasril Islam has been called upon to ensure adequate propagation of Islam through wisdom and strict adherence to the Qur’an and the Teachings of Prophet Muhammad,SAW.

The Kogi State JNI Chairman, Ambassador Usman Bello made the call at the maiden Hijrah Celebration organized by Kogi East Branch of Jama’atu Nasril Islam at Anyigba.

Ambassador Bello described the Coordinator of JNI in Kogi East, Alhaji Muhammed Nasirudeen Idris Mesuna Malle as a Scholar of Islam whose commitment to propagating the Deen is legendary and promised more support to enable him succeed.

In a remark, the Chairman of the Occasion, Alaji Friday Idachaba of Hamif Real Estate Nigeria Limited, through the Eje Ofu, HRH, Alhaji Akwu Obaje, thanked JNI Kogi East, for finding him worthy to Chair the event and wished them more successes in the years ahead.

Also speaking, the Eje Ofu, Alhaji Akwu Obaje, expressed delight with the organizers’ efforts at making Hijrah Celebration by JNI a reality in Kogi East.

He promised the cooperation of Traditional Rulers to ensure it’s sustenance.

Unveiling the Hijrah Calendar, the Hasken Failah, Dr Shekuru Isah Adebu, represented by Alhaji Abduazeez Jibril Ologba described the event as unique, stressing the need to appraise the Hijrah of Prophet Muhammad from Makkah to Madinah.

He recommended the Hijrah Calendar for 1444 AH to the Ummah as a guide to their Islamic activities for the year.

The Guest Speaker, Alhaji Hassan Enape in a paper entitled ‘ Islam and Politics’, urged Muslims in politics to ensure adequate welfare of the people, reminding them that they will account for their stewardship on the day of judgement.

Earlier in an address of welcome, the Coordinator of JNI for Kogi East, Alhaji Muhammed Nasirudeen Idris Mesuna Malle, thanked all those who ensured the success of the event and appreciated Kogi State JNI for building a Masjid and Madrasa for Ofejiji in Ofu Local Government Area.

In a vote of thanks, the State Secretary of JNI, Alhaji Isa Adeboye, eulogized the organizing Committee for a good job and thanked Traditional Rulers and other invited guests for attending the Programme.

The Hijrah Celebration which featured a special presentation by pupils of JNI Academy, Anyigba, was attended by representatives of Senator Jibril Isa Echocho, Hon. Paul Gowon Idris Haruna IJN, Hon. Yakubu Okala; AIG Rtd. Abdulsalam Iyaji, the Eje Dekina, represented by Ogohi Onu Anyigba,

Other attendees are; Alhaji Abubakar Shaibu Okolo, the Ohiegba of Mozum, Alhaji Khalid Ali Bukar II, the Onu Itobe, b Alhaji Salihu Adaji, Alhaji Muritala Yakubu Ajaka, Islamic Scholars, Muslim Women Organizations and some members of the State Exco of JNI.
