Horror: 4 teenagers drown at beach in Lagos

Lagos.

Tragedy struck on Tuesday as four students of Kuramo Senior College, Lekki got drown at Elegushi beach, Lagos.

Sources said the tragedy ocvur8 after nine students, between 14 and 16 years,collected their results from school and ventured into swimming at the beach.

The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, for the Police Command in Lagos state, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the story.

He advised parents and guardians, to engage in heart-to-heart talk with their teenagers, about drowning in water travel and swimming pool, to avoid catastrophic consequences.

The online publication recalls that on June 12, three siblings; all girls of the same parents, aged between 14, 7, and 3 drowned got drowned in a swimming pool in their residence in Ajah, Lagos.

The parents of the three deceased were said to have gone to an event and the children left their house to swim at the pool within their estate but did not return alive.
