The Commissioner of Police,Kogi State Command,CP Edward Egbuka, has led a team of Officers on a confidence boosting and visibility patrol along the major highways across the State, in a bid to ensure crime free Easter celebrations in the state.

The Police Public Relations Officer PPRO,SP William Aya in a statement he signed and made a copy available to The Reporters on Sunday, said the intensive exercise, carried out on the eve of Easter celebration,was meant to assess the deployment of personnel and operational assets.
He added it also to reassure the public of the Command’s determination to provide a peaceful and crime-free environment for all.
Aya added that the Commissioner of Police embarked the exercise to assess the level of compliance on the directives given to the Divisional Police Officers and their supervising Area Commanders to take charge of their area of responsibility.
” He charged them to redouble their efforts and contain any criminal elements who might want to take advantage of the festive period to perpetrate their evil acts.
” The Commissioner of Police reiterated his commitment to work in synergy with other security Commanders, to provide adequate security for all in Kogi State.”the PPRO said.
