Tragedy: Another girl murdered in kano

As peace-loving Nigerians and the the world at large remain bemoaned over the gruesome murder of Hanifa Abubakar (5) in kano,allegedly by Tanko,the proprietor of her school and the clarion call for her to get justice gathers, among the segments of the society gathered momentum, another girl, Zuwaira Gambo(12), has been murdered in kano.

The tragic death of Gambo was disclosed by the Governor of the state Abdullahi Ganduje on Wednesday at the Government House in kano, when he received in audience the Executive Secretary, National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), Tony Ojukwu, represented by a Commissioner, Abubakar Muhammad.

Our Correspondent reports that the NHRC management were in kano on a condolence visit to the governor over the demise of baby Hanifa.

“There is another case of one Zuwaira Gambo, 12 years old, who was also murdered,” Ganduje further stated but confirmed the arrest of the alleged perpetrator by security officers.

Ganduje, who said that investigations on the latest case were going on with that of the late Hanifa, expressed the commitment of his administration to see that justice is done to the two victims.

He commended NHRC for its concern over the incident, assuring the organization of government’s partnership to see to the success of the matter.
