Prof. Godwin Maduka, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Anambra governorship aspirant in Nov. 6 poll, said he would empower all the delegates of his party, if voted as PDP candidate on their forthcoming primary election.
Maduka made the promise in an interview with journalists on Monday in Awka while explaining to his supporters the need for electors in the party primary election to be political self willed.
He said that June 26 primary election of PDP would define maturity of electors in the state, if they vote according to their conscience without allowing electoral manipulators to confuse their inner conviction.
Maduka said his interest on the PDP primary election was to educate delegates to know their rights, to get it right and know power of a vote cast rightly.
He said that if electors knows the power they carry to elect a credible and financially stable candidate, they would ignore any political distraction and fight for their future and that of their children.
The aspirant urged PDP delegates not to yield to any political inducement from any quarter but see their duty as a civic act and vote a candidate that had attracted developmental projects through self worth .
“ I was developing my areas, based on my conviction to serve humanity and to say thank you God for His numerous blessing, I was a child of poverty.
“ I wore poverty as a cloth, I ate it as food and am here to reduce poverty to its barest minimum and that is why I beg you all, PDP delegates, to vote for me,” he said .
Maduka assured that he would make Anambra a number one destination in all economic and social ramification, if elected November 6,
“See political figures that tell you who to vote for, not allowing you as adults to make your choice as a distractor who does not want good of the common people but is self interest.
Maduka appealed to delegates to make a difference in the upcoming delegates election, come June 26 and prove that power is by the people and not the elite alone by casting their delegate votes for him.
“Hw urged delegates to honor him playing ,”right wing politics” by shunning shady process and vote candidate with open him of developmental projects in the state.
“ I will engage them in all my gigantic investment to man as a reward for politically liberated Anambra from hands of political jobbers.
“ If I am elected PDP flag bearer, I promise you all in this state, a new lease of life all the senatorial zones would be given a fast-face lift.
“ I will pull all my foreign contacts to come and rebuild Anambra. I have lived ,schooled , worked in America, I have got my taste and am an employer of labour in the US.
“What will happen in Anambra is going to be a child’s play’ , please give me your votes to serve for you better,” he appealed.
Maduka, who had on May 20, concluded the tour of the 21 Local Government Areas of Anambra said he had direct interaction with the electors of the party flag bearers, urged the electors to vote him.
He said that he would guarantee equal developments in all 21 LGA of the state without preferences and operate all inclusive government.
Maduka said that he was touched to go into politics to re-write lot of political wrongs ongoing in the state and promised that he was ready to transform Anambra with his ideology.
He said that before venturing into politics he had tried on personal strength to give back to the society that gave life to him, a visit to Umuchukwu will convince you that am a brand developer.
Maduka hails from Umuchukwu , Orumba North LGA of Anambra, a triple Professor of Pain Management, Surgery and Anesthesiology from Touro University Neveda USA.
Maduka has earned many traditional titles based on his philanthropic gestures such as Okosisi of Orumba, a name communally given him, based on his outstanding services to humanity.
