The fact that the road from Zone 8 Round about to kogi State House of Assembly is in sorry state of existence is no more news. What is of paramount importance, now ,is the urgent need to repair this all important road. This is inview of its socio-economic and political and security relevance to the people of the state and those transiting Lokoja, the state capital.

For instance,it hosts the Zone 8 police command Headquarters, the Central Bank of Nigeria, the State Headquarters of the State security services, the State House of Assembly.

Others are: the headquarters of the judiciary, customs, and the stadium. For baby discerning mind,it is worrysome to note that such important road could be left in such dilapidated condition.

Therefore, it is appropriate at this juncture to call on the the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to, through its social responsibility, intervain to arrest the embarrassing situation the road is causing the institutions, particularly the ones owned by the Federal government.

The appeal becomes imperative as rains set in with with attendant flooding which could bring alot of inconviences to human and vehicular movement on the road.

This is particularly so, given the fact that pupils, students, workers, residents and in short, tax payers ply the road to execute their social and economic ends.

However,if nothing meaningful could be achieved by the state government and relevant institutions, I urge the people to pull resources together and raise money, through contribution, to repair some of the worst portions of the road particularly, the one front of the stadium.
