The pioneer Principal of Government Secondary School, Afon in Kwara state, Dr. Solomon Aboyeji, has commended the old students of the school for contributing their quota to the infrastructural facelift of the school.
In a message of encouragement to the old students in Ilorin, Aboyeji said: “The unanimity with which you all met ,prayed ,contributed fund and rose to action, unrelenting until you completed the facilities showed much of dignity of purpose and committedness to action.
“This displays how, once convinced, you will go to all lengths until the deed is done.
“Warm and hearty congratulations I say unto you . Wishing you more glorious performances to your great Almamater, Gss Afon and to humanity. Chief Dr S O Aboyeji.
The Reporters correspondent reports the old students of the 45-year-old school have embarked palliative infrastructural uplift of their alma mater such as repairs of examination hall, clearing of bushes, borehole and building of mini gate among others running to thousands of naira.
The school, which was established in 1976 by the regime of Maj,-Gen.George Agbazika Innih of the blessed memory, has produced prominent Nigeria contributing to all sectors ( public and private) of the nation’s economy.
