The Adaba family has extended heartfelt condolences to the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, following the death of his father, Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo.
In a condolence message, copy of which is made available to The Reporters in Lokoja on Thursday and signed by Patrick Jnr. Asuku Adaba on behalf of the family, the Adabas described the passing of the governor’s father as a painful and irreplaceable loss, not only to the Ododo family but also to the larger community.
The family recalled with gratitude the governor’s show of leadership and support when they went through a similar grief, noting that his compassion left an indelible mark on their hearts.
They described the late Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo as a revered father, grandfather, and community leader whose virtues of humility, steadfastness, and fairness are clearly reflected in the leadership qualities of his son, Governor Ododo.
“Your remarkable qualities of humility, fairness, and steadfastness to faith are reflections of the values instilled in you by your late father. It is evident that from him you learnt the essence of humility, the strength of steadfastness, and the value of people,” the condolence message read.
While praying for Almighty God to forgive the shortcomings of the late patriarch, reward his good deeds, and grant him eternal rest in Al-Jannah Firdaus, the Adaba family also prayed for God to grant Governor Ododo and his family the fortitude to bear the great loss.
