APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION INTO THE 12TH REGULAR COURSE DEGREE PROGRAMMES OF THE NIGERIA POLICE ACADEMY, WUDIL, KANO STATE

The Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, wishes to inform the general public that the online application for admission into the 12th Regular Course of its Degree Programmes will open from 28th July, 2025 to 8th September, 2025.

Qualified and interested applicants are invited to apply within the specified period. The Academy offers a unique opportunity for young Nigerians to receive comprehensive academic and professional training that will prepare them for a career as Police Officers.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must:

Be of Nigerian origin by birth and possess a National Identity Number (NIN).

Have a minimum JAMB score of 180 in the 2025 UTME and must have selected the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil as their first choice institution.

Possess a minimum of six credits, including English and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings in WAEC/NECO or its equivalent.

Be between 16 and 21 years of age by 31st October, 2025.

Be medically, physically, and psychologically fit with a minimum height of 1.67m for males and 1.64m for females.

(Males only) Have a minimum chest measurement of 86cm (34 inches).

Be unmarried and not pregnant at the time of admission.

Have a valid email address and phone number.

Note that SSCE results or certificates prior to 2021 will not be accepted.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Applicants should visit the Academy’s website at www.admission.polac.edu.ng to generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) code. A non-refundable fee of ₦6,000 (inclusive of ₦2,000 for Post-UTME) is to be paid through any commercial bank.

After payment, applicants should complete the online form and upload scanned copies of their credentials including:

SSCE Certificate

Birth Certificate/Declaration of Age
Certificate of Origin

Applicants must print their completed form and guarantor form and present them at the Academy during the Aptitude Test.

*SELECTION PROCESS*

1. Aptitude Test (Computer-Based Test): To be conducted at the Nigeria Police Academy ICT Centre, Wudil. Date to be communicated later.
2. Automated Physical Screening: Shortlisted candidates will present original documents including:
Educational qualifications.
Birth certificate.
Certificate of fitness from a government hospital.
Certificate of good character from village/district head.
Indigene certificate signed by LG Chairman/Secretary.
Guarantor form signed by a senior public servant (not below GL13) or a senior officer in the Police, Armed Forces, or Paramilitary.
3. Automated Medical Screening: Candidates who pass the physical screening will undergo medical examination.
4. Automated Interview/Selection Exercise: Final selection of successful candidates.
All successful candidates will be contacted via SMS and email, and training will commence on a date to be announced.

Faculty of Humanities (e.g., English, History & Int’l Studies, Linguistics)

Faculty of Science (e.g., Biochemistry, Computer Science, Forensic Science)

Faculty of Social and Management Sciences (e.g., Accounting, Criminology, Psychology, Political Science, Education Management)

DURATION & COMMISSIONING
Successful candidates will undergo five years of academic and police training, leading to the award of Bachelor’s Degree and commissioning as Assistant Superintendent of Police II in the Nigeria Police Force.
