Ododo Flags Off 7.2km Idah Township Road Project, Pledges Continued Infrastructure Development

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has flagged off the construction of 7.2 kilometers of township roads in Idah, signaling another major step in his administration’s efforts to boost infrastructure and economic development in the state.

Speaking at the flag-off ceremony,on Tuesday,Governor Ododo expressed appreciation to the people of Kogi East for their continued support.

He reaffirmed his commitment to fulfilling his campaign promises, emphasizing that his administration is focused on delivering impactful projects across the state.

The governor also lauded his predecessor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, for laying the groundwork for the ongoing developmental strides in the state.

He extended special gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his unwavering support, noting that the Federal Government’s cooperation has contributed significantly to the positive transformation in Kogi.

“This flag-off will stimulate economic activities in this area,” Ododo said.

“On behalf of the people of Kogi State and my entire team, I hereby flag off the internal road projects in Idah Local Government Area—to the glory of God and for the benefit of mankind,”he said.

Speaking to journalists, the Managing Director of the Kogi State Road Maintenance Agency (KOGROMA), Engr. Dr. Yunusa Alhassan, commended Governor Ododo for his dedication to infrastructure development.

He assured residents that the project would be executed according to specifications and within the agreed timeframe.

Our correspondent reports that the road construction project is part of a broader initiative by the state government to enhance connectivity, ease transportation, and improve the quality of life for Kogi residents.

The roads earmarked for construction include:Igalaogba Angwa – Inachalo Junction,Sabongari ,St. Boniface – Ega Market Junction,St. Michael – Ukwaja ,St. Peter’s Road ,Ukwaja Junction Attah Idah Club Road.
