Kogi State House of Assembly has directed the Coordinator of Kogi State Social Investment Agency, Aishat Omade to appear before it unfailingly on Wednesday, 7th May, 2025 or risk issuance of warrant of arrest on her.

This is contained in a statement signed by Yabagi Mohammed,
Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker,Kogi State House of Assembly in Lokoja on Tuesday.

According to Mohammed, the Assembly’s reaction was as a result of “the failure of the Coordinator to appear before it on Tuesday as contained in its resolution of 30th April, 2025 which mandated her to appear today and she failed on the excuse of being on a state assignment.”

“The House, therefore, gave her until Wednesday to appear unfailingly.

“The House used the opportunity to also warn other appointees of the state government not to toy with the powers of the Legislature as it would not take lightly any attempt to disrespect or refuse to honour its invitations,”he added.
