King Charles Honors Summit University Professor with MBE

We are delighted to share some fantastic news! Our very own Professor Bamidele Adebisi has been awarded an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) by King Charles. A huge congratulations to him on this well-deserved honour!

For those who may not be familiar, the MBE is a prestigious recognition given for outstanding contributions and achievements in various fields. It represents excellence, dedication, and service to society—an honour that speaks to Prof. Adebisi’s remarkable impact.

As members of Summit University, Offa; Federal University of Technology, Minna; and The First Technical University, Ibadan, we have had the privilege of collaborating with Professor Adebisi on several groundbreaking initiatives. These include Artificial Intelligence for Clean Energy (AI4CE), Artificial Intelligence for Females in STEM (AI4FS), Rural Environmental Monitoring via Ultra-Wide Area Networks and Distributed Federated Learning (REMARKABLE), Artificial Intelligence for Women in Aquaculture (AI4WA), Democratization of Environmental Literacy in Post-Primary Educational Institutions in Nigeria (DELitE), the National AI Strategic Policy for Nigeria, and the PhD Mentoring Clinic (PhD Clinic), among many others. His contributions have been invaluable to our teams, members, and institutions across Nigeria.

This recognition is a testament to his unwavering commitment, tireless dedication, and selfless efforts in driving innovation and making a meaningful impact in countless lives and communities.

We are incredibly proud to have Professor Adebisi as a part of our academic and professional community. His wisdom, guidance, and inspiration continue to shape the future, and we are deeply grateful for all that he has done.
