Ododo’s one year in Office:President Tinubu Inaugurates Key Projects in Kogi

President Bola Tinubu, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, inaugurated several significant development projects in Kogi State on Monday, marking Governor Ahmed Ododo’s one-year anniversary in office.

The inauguration event took place in Lokoja, the state capital where Tinubu’s delegation was warmly received by Governor Ododo, his deputy Comrade Joel Oyibo, former Kogi governors, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and Capt. Idris Wada, along with other key state officials.

The Vice President, accompanied by APC National Chairman Dr. Umar Ganduje and Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo, arrived at the Dangote Airstrip around noon to a rousing welcome from locals.

The representative of Tinubu was led to the Zone 8 area in Lokoja Local Government, where he unveiled three projects.

The projects include the 9km Zone 8-Zango Daji-Kaduna Junction Road, the 5.5km Zone 8-Crusher Road, and a state-of-the-art 350-bed hostel facility for Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH) in Osara.

Other notable projects inaugurated include a demonstration farm, two new faculties at CUSTECH, and several primary healthcare centers across the state.

In his remarks, Governor Ododo emphasized that these projects reflect his commitment to improving the welfare of the people of Kogi State.

He also stressed that the inaugurated projects represent his promises he made during his campaign and his efforts to serve as the “chief servant” of the people.

Ododo praised his predecessor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, for laying a strong foundation for continued growth and progress in the state.

After the inauguration, the Vice President and his entourage proceeded to the Government House,Lokoja for private discussions with state stakeholders.

The entourage moved to a festive celebration at Muhammadu Buhari Square, where a jubilant crowd gathered to mark the anniversary of Governor Ododo’s administration.
