The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has introduced a new licensing framework for Application-to-Person (A2P) communication services.
This initiative aims to enhance compliance with existing regulations and strengthen the integrity of Nigeria’s telecommunications sector.
Reuben Muoka, NCC’s Director of Public Affairs, announced that the framework is available for review on the Commission’s website and is open for public comment.
To foster engagement, the NCC will host a virtual forum on December 20, 2024, to discuss the framework with stakeholders.
Interested parties are encouraged to review the document and submit their feedback by December 19, 2024, via email to aadaba@ncc.gov.ng and msyusuf@ncc.gov.ng.
This framework reflects the NCC’s commitment to evolving industry needs while upholding the provisions of the Nigerian Communications Act.
Stakeholders are urged to participate actively in shaping the regulatory landscape for A2P services in Nigeria, he said.
