Ododo Approves 2 Key Medical Leadership Positions in Kogi.

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.

The Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has approved the appointment of Prof. Solomon Avidime as the Provost of the Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH) Teaching Hospital.

This announcement was made in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Folashade Arike Ayoade, and obtained on Saturday in Lokoja by newsmen.

Prior to this appointment, Prof. Avidime served as the pioneer Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the Reference Hospital,Okene.

A distinguished academic and medical professional, he is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

His expertise spans reproductive health, maternal and child health, and infertility, making him a notable figure in the medical field.

In a related development, the governor has appointed Dr. Shuaibu Stephen Babatunde as the new Chief Medical Director of the Reference Hospital,Okene, succeeding Prof. Avidime.

The SSG said noted that Governor Ododo congratulated both appointees and emphasized that their appointments take effect immediately.
