Media Guru Dies at 67.

Dr.Ngozi Anyaegbunam, President of Media World and the first female editor at Champion Newspaper, has passed away at the age of 67 following a brief illness in Abuja.

Her son, Rocky C Agbese, shared the news in a press release on Sunday, November 3, stating, “With gratitude to God for a life well spent, we announce the untimely death of Dr. Ngozi Fidelia Anyaegbunam.”

Anyaegbunam was a pioneering journalist, known for her editorial roles at Champion Newspaper and The Daily Times, where she authored the book Waziri Ibrahim: Politics Without Bitterness.

Born in October 1957 in Damaturu, Yobe State, she was the daughter of late George and Victoria Anyaegbunam.

In addition to her journalism career, she served as a media management consultant for numerous prominent companies.

Anyaegbunam notably interviewed two Nigerian presidents, Olusegun Obasanjo and Muhammadu Buhari.

She is remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, leaving a profound impact on all who knew her.

Agbese said “Rest in Peace till we meet to part no more,”, adding that details funeral arrangements to be announced by the family.
