Kogi Governor Applauded for Supporting Education, Covering WAEC Fees.

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), kogi state chapter,has commended Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Usman Ododo, for his outstanding commitment to education.

In a statement issued in Lokoja, NAWOJ Kogi State Chairperson, Comrade Edoka Stella, praised the Governor’s decision to cover WAEC fees for students across the state, calling it a significant source of relief and optimism for families.

The association also commended the current administration’s focus on prioritizing education and pointing out the development would go along way to ease financial burdens of parents and encourages students to pursue academic excellence without the distraction of exam-related expenses.

“As women journalists, we recognize the transformative power of education, particularly in empowering young women to reach their potential.

“Your actions reflect a profound commitment to investing in human capital and the future of Nigeria,”the chapter said.

NAWOJ urged the Governor to continue enacting policies that enhance access to quality education and address challenges faced by students, teachers, and the education sector

“We are inspired by your dedication to positive change and look forward to the long-term impact of your initiatives,” the association affirmed.
