6 Brigade Troops Arrest Female Suspected Kidnapper’s Informant, notorious criminal in Taraba.

Troops of Six Brigade/Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) of the Nigerian army based in Taraba State have arrested a female suspected informant for kidnappers, notorious criminal and made some seizures in a series of effective operations aimed at combating crime in the State.

This is contained in a statement signed by Capt.OLUBODUNDE ONI,Acting Assistant Director,
6 Brigade Army Public Relations
in Jalingo and made a significant available to The Reporters on Sunday.

He said:” On September 6, 2024, in Sondi village, Wukari LGA, the brigade arrested Miss Markus Grace, a suspected informant for kidnappers, including a notorious criminal named Chen. Grace, who is also identified as Chen’s girlfriend, is under investigation for her alleged involvement in various criminal activities.

“In a separate incident on September 5, 2024, during a routine patrol in Bantaje town, Wukari LGA, troops intercepted a Blue Toyota Yaris. The driver fled, leaving behind the vehicle, which was found to contain an AK-47 rifle, an AK-47 magazine, and two identity cards from the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) from Gassol LGA.

” The investigation is ongoing to trace the vehicle’s owner and determine the significance of the identity cards.

“Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, Commander of 6 Brigade, praised the troops for their diligence and encouraged the public to continue supporting security efforts by providing timely information.

“He reaffirmed the brigade’s commitment to maintaining peace and security in Taraba State and upholding a zero-tolerance policy toward crime.”
