By Daniel Peters.

Nigerian Youths have been called upon to embrace peaceful resolution in pressing home their demands as nationwide protests begin across the country.

The Chairman of a Non Governmental Organisation, SOWENON Initiative, Dr.Sam Jenfa, who made the appeal in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Thursday, said that resolution to problems are reached not by chaos and anarchy.

“Nigeria is deluded to the current state of the economy that brings no good news but the sour uprising of hardship, hunger and the decline of economic sectors”, Jenfa noted.

He stated that the economic system had already collapsed across all the sectors for over a decade.
“In essence, the current administration cannot resolve this problem overnight and as such, still working hard on how to bail the nation out of the insurgent strike of the economic meltdown challenging the good living condition of the citizens of Nigeria”.

According to him, “The reason for this action cannot be underestimated but a productive resolution should be sought as opposed to a protest that will manifest anarchy and pose a threat to the security of the nation. Bringing the nation into chaos will ruin the entire economic system with significant effect on humanity and this can spread to over many generations as we have witnessed this in some countries in Africa”.

“I would like to urgently appeal to the youths to be tolerant with the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and consider a better way of supporting the federal Government to seek for long and lasting positive solution concerning this matter”.

Dr Sam Jenfa advised those he called “underground people” steering the protest to cause anarchy and chaos to consider the future of the nation, the current and the future generations.

“The timeline for realising the gradual change of the economy might be too slow but that is what it takes to rebuild a collapsed economy across all the sectors but with perseverance of the citizens, adding that restructuring of the economy and Investment in the local government areas can be achieved through both localised and neighbourhood renewals budget”, Jenfa said.
