Expanding Women’s Contributions in Aquaculture through Artificial Intelligence.

Traditionally, women have been involved in small-scale aquaculture at various stages of operation. They actively care for fish in homestead ponds, nurseries, cages, and even rice fields. There is growing recognition of women’s ability and potential to contribute to the national economy in the fisheries sector of the blue economy. With the introduction of artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies, their potential contributions will know no bounds. This will allow for the expansion of their responsibilities and roles, leading to a more prosperous economy and nation.
