Kogi NGOs Network (KONGONET) has extend its warmest congratulations to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo on first 100 days in office as the Executive Governor of Kogi State.
This is contained in a statement signed by Amb. Idris Ozovehe Muraina,Chairperson,
Kogi NGOs Network (KONGONET) and a sent a copy to The Reporters in Lokoja on Monday.
KONGONET commended the Governor’s dedication, vision, and efforts in leading the state during this critical period.
Muraina said:”Your commitment to the development of Kogi State is evident through your move to upgrade Adogo Airstrip to Cargo Airport, the official inauguration of State Steering Committee on OGP after two (2) years of sign -up, commencement of Sector Implementation Plans (SIP) for Kogi State Development Plan 2024 – 2056, donation of vehicles and other security gadgets to security outlets, Ongoing dualization of Kaduna junction through Zango-meme bridge road etc, and we appreciate the strides you have taken towards improving the lives of our people.
“As the apex body of civil society organizations network in the state, we recognize the importance of collaboration between the government and the civil society sector in driving positive change and sustainable development.
“While we urge for more strategic engagement with representatives of civil society organizations to foster transparency, accountability, and inclusivity in governance. We hereby use this opportunity to remind you of your pact with the people of Kogi State which are drawn from twelve (12) thematic areas of human endavours as follows;
“(1)-Good Governance and Leadership, (2) Infrastructural Development and Maintenance, (3) Education and Human Capital Development, (4) Healthcare and Social Welfare, (5) Agriculture and Rural Development, (6) Security and Peace Building, (7) Women Empowerment and Gender Equity, (8) Environment and Sustainable Development, (9) Industry and Commerce, (10) Information and Communications Technology & Innovation, (11) Youth Empowerment and Sports Development and (12) Entertainment and Tourism Development.
“By working together, we can address the challenges facing our dear state and implement people-oriented development policies that will benefit all citizens of Kogi State. Again, it is important to state here that the institutionalization of “effective feedback mechanism” in all of these cannot be over-emphasized.
