Cyber attack or threat by actors operating from God knows,according to security analysts, remains one of the security problems confronting Nigeria’s digital space but add that conscious efforts are being made by government and its relevant agencies to effectively check the menace.

In this regard, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), an organization dedicated to fostering conducive environment for industry stakeholders and ensuring that telecom subscribers stay protected from cyber threats to enjoy the services provided by telecom operators in the country.

In adherence to the purpose of its establishment,NCC,regularly, shares valuable insights with Nigerian telecom subscribers, offering tips on how to stay safe in digital space.

According to Legend News, in a recent update which focused on cyber-attacks, NCC emphasized the importance of creating strong passwords to safeguard online accounts.

The media organization qoute experts in telecomms services as explaining that cyber-attacks involve unauthorized access, data theft, or system damage by threat actors operating from various locations.

According to security analysts,these attacks can be carried out by individuals or
groups using different tactics, stressing that passwords play a crucial role in granting access to computer systems or services.

They therefore,urged users to ensure that they have a password to log in securely.

The NCC, through its official Facebook page, advised subscribers to opt for passwords to prevent unauthorized access to their mobile devices.

“Protect your online accounts (such as banks and digital media) by using strong and complex passwords,” the NCC emphasized.

The commission said that by implementing robust passwords, individuals could defend themselves against cyber attackers seeking to compromise data, applications, or assets through unauthorized network or device access.
