The new head of service of kogi state,Mr.Elijah Evinemi, has told the state civil servants to expect more planned goodies for them, which would soon manifest, reward them for their productivity and dedication to duty.
He stated this on Wednesday when he received in audience, members of Ebira Avaibe Association who paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Lokoja.
Mr.Evinemi expressed the determination of the present administration in the state to embark on various welfare programmes that would boost the morale of the civilians and.for elicit their greater productivity.
The head of service,who thanked God and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his new appointment, promised to use the opportunity to impact positively on the life of civil servants and members of the society at large.
He, however, called on the civil servants to put in their best in the service of their state, adding that they would not regret doing so.
Mr.Evinemi advised the Egbiras in the state and elsewhere to unite and continue to cherish and practice peace in their interaction with other ethnic nationalites to ensure peace and development of the state.
He commended the association for the visit and called on its members to ensure peace and harmony in its management for the attainment of their desired aims and objectives.
Earlier, the leader of the association,Hon. Musa Akaba, commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his recent appointments he made upon assumption of office in the state.
He particularly expressed happiness of the association in the appointment of the new head of service, adding that he and his members paid the visit to congratulate Mr.Evinemi over his new office.
Hon.Akaba expressed confidence in the ability of Evinemi in justifying the confidence the state government reposed in him to achieve positive results in the discharge of his public responsibility to the people.
An elder of the association, Alhaji Usman Obansa,who also expressed delight over the appointment of Evinemi, said such development could not have been made out of blues but based on his sterling track record in public service.
He called on the new head of service to see his new office as a morale booster to enhance his track record and assist the state government to achieve its lofty programmes for the state civil servants.
Also speaking,the woman leader of the association, Mrs. Rebecca Jegede, described the new head of service as somebody noted for helping civil servants solve their public service problems.
Our correspondent reports that highlight of the visit was the special prayer offered by Alhaji Usman Obansa and mrs.Rebecca for a peaceful and rewarding tenure of the new head of service for him and the civil servants in the state.
