There is no any oita of truth in the story making round in the social media to the effect that, there is the office of immediate past governor in Kogi government house.

To this effect,the Governor of the state, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has described the news as fake, stressing that no approval had been given for the establishment of “Office Of the immediate past Governor” in the state.
In a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr.Oladele John Nihi, Ododo said, “The fake news should be disregarded as the handiwork of psychotic mischief makers who have been thrown into confusion by the unprecedented achievements of our former Governor, His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, CON, and the realisation that the good people of Kogi State sincerely appreciate this.”
Nihi added that the report was concocted to create disaffection and mislead the people.
“The attention of the Kogi State Government has been drawn to a mischievous report that the Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has approved the establishment of the “Office of the Immediate Past Governor” to be domiciled in the Government House.
“The laughable report was concocted to create disaffection and mislead the public but the authors failed woefully to confuse intelligent Nigerians.
“We thank the media for exercising restraint and detecting, on their own, that the report was fake.
“We, however, urge the general public to always fact-check before spreading fake news,”,Nihi said.
Our Correspondent recalls that Ododo took over the leadership of the state from Alhaji Yahaya Bello on January 27,2024 as Executive Governor of the state,following his swearing ceremony in Lokoja.
Bello governed the state for two terms.
