Be a father to all Ebiras, Governor Bello urges new Ohinoyi of Ebiraland.

The governor of Kogi State,Alhaji Yahaya Bello,has advised the new Ohinoyi of Egbiraland,Dr.Ahmed Tijani Mohmmed Anage, to be the traditional ruler for all Ebira sons and daughters, irrespective of religious, culture, traditional and clannish leanings.

He gave the advice on Thursday in Okene when he installed and presented the staff of office to the new paramount ruler, adding that Dr.Anage should carry everybody along.
The governor also called on all the indigenes of Egbiraland to rally round their new traditional and let him be the symbol of unity to ensure peace, security and development of the land.
He commended the 70 other candidates that contested with the Ohinoyi, for the display of comradeship,statesmanship and good spirit of sportsmanship throughout the process of selection culminating in selecting and appointment of Dr.Anage as the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland
” I urge all of us to please shield our sword and for once,let ebiraland develop,” Bello further called on the ebiras.
Responding, the new Ohinoyi pledged to committee his life for the service of his people
He called on all Ebiras,especially,his co-contestants in the race towards the appointment to the stool of new Ohinoyi to join hand with him to move ebiraland forward.
The new traditional ruler called for the establishment of the state Ministry of Religious Affairs to strengthen the much needed unity among the adherents of various religions in the state.
He also called for the establishment of the North Central Nigeria Development Commission to address the concept of underdevelopment of the region among other factors.
The Reporters reports that the new Ohinoyi of Egbiraland replaces Dr.Abdulrahman Ado Ibrahim who died in Abuja, October 2024,during an illness.
People from all walks of life attended the occasion while the governor presented keys of vehicle to the new Ohinoyi to facilitate his duty.
