The Management of the Kogi state-owned Confluence University of Sciences and Technology, CUSTECH, Osara, North Central Nigeria, has witnessed a change in the leadership of the institution.
In the unfolding development, Prof. Abdulrahman Asipita Salawu has been appointed Vice Chancellor of the University, replacing the pioneer Vice Chancellor, Prof. Salawu Sadiku, who left the services of the University.
The Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Wemi Jones, who unveiled the new Vice Chancellor in Lokoja, congratulated him and hoped that his track record of achievements would surpass expectations by taking the University to heights never imagined.
Our correspondent gathered that the new Vice Chancellor, who is an accomplished scholar and professional of note, is a Professor of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering.
He was an active member of the Technical and Implementation Committee that gave birth to CUSTECH in 2020 and is a visiting engineering lecturer at the university.
