Lt-Col. Abubakar-Surajo Imam has emerged as the first professor of mechatronics engineering,produced by Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna State.
This is also the first of its kind in 160 years of the existence of the Nigerian army.
According to history, the Nigerian was established in 1863. It began when Lieutenant Glover of the Royal Navy formed a local force known as the Glover Hausas.
