Officials of commercial motorcycle union in Lokoja,kogi state, north central Nigeria,on Friday, stunned unsuspecting members of public,especially road users, as they armed themselves with sticks to collect revenue from Okada riders.
Our correspondent’s lens snapped the scene at the Post Office axis of the ever busy Murtala Muhammed road, Lokoja.
Some motorcycle riders and passengers, in their interview with our correspondent, described the development as embarrassing,noting that it is capable of causing accident.

They noted that the officials always stop okada riders abruptly while on the motion,adding that there were better ways of collecting revenue from members without restoring to such a rowdy method.
Some of the okada riders, in their attempt to evade paying their revenue to the officials, resorted to reversing their motorcycle and in the process, resorted to taking wrong lane, not minding the implication of their traffic violation to their lives, their passengers and other road users.
They also described the scene as unaccepted as political atmosphere in the state gathers momentum.
