The Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, whose election was annulled recently by the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, has advised his supporters and other stakeholders to remain peaceful, calm and focused.
This he said became imperative to alleviate the suffering faced by residents rather than exchanging words that would destroy the existing brotherhood and togetherness of the people in the state.
The Special Adviser to the on Media and Publicity, Dr. Nawani Aboki, made this known in a statement he signed and issued to journalists in Lafia regarding the declaration of David Ombugadu of the PDP as winner of the state’s governorship election.
Dr. Aboki said the governor expressed confidence that the tribunal judgment is “test of faith and will not stop him from carrying out his official duties till the final judgement at the Supreme Court”.
The governor, Aboki added, said his administration has respect for the rule of law for peace and progress in the state.
“He also said legal team has already commenced work to ensure he is victorious ahead and ready to accept the outcome that comes after all legal proceedings as a Muslim.
“He explained that his administration is committed to prioritizing industrialization, job creation, good healthcare services, agriculture, investment, security of lives and properties.
“The governor said all would not be achieved without the collective efforts of all stakeholders, advising the youths and other patriotic citizens to shun anything capable of causing destruction and lamentations in the state,” Aboki said.
