As the stage for the Local Government elections in Edo State is almost set, all eyes are on the front runner for the Chairmanship and Vice Chairmanship seats in Oredo Local government Area for victory.
Our correspondent reports that the front runners for the seats are Dr. Tom Obaseki and Patricia Ero of the ruling People’s Democratic party in the state.
In all the rallies held so far to drum support for their candidacies, usually attended by Governor Godwin Obaseki and Senior government officials, mammoth crowd of party faithful and well wishers witnessed such outings in Benin.
“Here is an opportunity to support someone whose ear we have and has a vision to do the right things to benefit man, woman and our children in OREDO Local Government Area community”
“Oghogho Pat Ero, the PDP candidate for the Oredo Vice-Chairman seat, has promised to support the Chairman, Dr Tom Obaseki, to make a lot of positive impact at the grassroots level if elected come September 2nd, 2023.
“Pat Ero is a daughter of the soil, a Princess from Chief Ero family of Urubi. She is a graduate of Uniben and University of Jos with a Law degree. This is one politician I know and approve personally. We need your help to make it happen,”one of the party Stalwarts stated .
He added, “Because an idle mind is the devil’s workshop, Pat is on a mission to support the Chairman to elevate the wellbeing of Oredo community by ensuring that men, women and youths in Oredo are meaningfully engaged.
“She intends to raise awareness on funds accessibility for trade and businesses. Pat says there are too many young graduates without jobs in Oredo, hence she plans to promote different vocational training for the Youths”.
“All Eyes On Tom/Pat For Oredo Chair and Vice Chairmanship seats campaign which started, Monday, July 24, is expected to end on Friday, August 25, the stalwart disclosed.
