Kogi poly loses staff,Registrar mourns.

Late Mr. Peter Akogu.
The Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, has been thrown into mourning mood, following the sudden demise of the Head, Department of Industrial Design, School of Art, Design and Printing, Mr. Peter Akogu.
Uredo Omale,Head, Public Relations and Protocol Unit.Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja,disclosed this in lokoja in a statement and made a copy available to The Reporters on Monday.
Mr. Akogu was confirmed dead in the early hours of Sunday 12th August, 2023 at the age of 47.
He joined the services of Kogi State Polytechnic as Higher Instructor on 4th April, 2003, and rose through the ranks to become a Senior Lecturer with the Department of Industrial Design. He was appointed as Head of Department on 3rd November, 2022.
The deceased hailed from Unyi Ogogu Village in Olamaboro Local Government of Kogi State.

A statement issued by the
Registrar of the Polytechnic, Elder Sunday Aiyeetan described the deceased as a distinguished personality, disciplined academic and resourceful team leader.
Aiyeetan also described him as a committed and resourceful lecturer whose passion to the growth and development of the School of Art, Design and Printing and the Department of Industrial Design in particular, has made the school a model for the raising of young leaders over the years.
He prayed God, in His infinite mercy, to forgive his shortcomings and grant his soul eternal rest.
The Registrar also prayed that God grant his family, friends, well wishers, associates and the entire Polytechnic Community the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Burial arrangements will be announced after due consultation with the family.
