Ohanaeze Ndigbo griefs over Abia PDP governorship candidate’s death

The umbrella body for Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide, has expressed shock over the death of the Abia PDP Governorship candidate, Professor Uche Eleazar Ikonne.

Our Correspondent recalls that Ikonne, died at about 4a.m of Wednesday at the National Hospital in Abuja following a brief illness.

Family sources said that the deceased,who died at 67 showed sign of recovering after undergoing proper treatment in the United Kingdom but regretted that his sickness relapsed few days ago.

This health crisis,they added,led to multiple cardiac arrests from which the late Ikonne eventually gave up the ghost.
