Old students, AUD construct, inaugurate Project

The 1998 set of Ansar-ud-Deen high school, Ikole Ekiti, Ekiti State have constructed and inaugurated the roundabout in front of the school’s administrative block,as parts of their efforts to pay back to their alma mater.

The President of the old students, Mr Olaisade Makinwa, who was represented by his vice, Ms Odunayo Ogundipe, thanked God for the re-,union and successful completion of the project.

He added that the project was “commissioned by our fathers who also graduated from the same school, including Christian and Islamic clerics such as Pastor Busari Rufai, The General Overseer of the Believers Church of Jesus Christ (INC.), Ikole-Ekiti and the Grand Chief Imam of Ansar-Un-Deen Central Mosque Ikole Ekiti, Alhaji AbdulAzeez Alabi.

He prayed for the set for more grace and promotion in their businesses and offices.

Makinwa,who thanked God for a successful project delivery, also said the actualisation of the project was as a result of the hardwork and commitment of the 1998 set.

The president of the body commended Pastor Busari Oladele Alabi Rufai; the General Overseer of the Believers Church of Jesus Christ (INC.), Ikole-Ekiti and the Grand Chief Imam of Ansar-Un-Deen Central Mosque Ikole Ekiti, Imam AbdulAzeez Olasunkanmi Alabi, for their efforts in adding value to the physical development of the school.

He said: “The two clerics prayed for the set for more and more Grace and promotion in their businesses and offices.”

Going memory lane, Busari said described AUD as a great school, established in 1959, adding it was the only muslim School in Ondo state then, where students used to come from all the local governments to school there.

Mr Gbenga Adisa, who spoke in a telephone conversation with our correspondent, also thanked God for this year’s get-together. and that 2023 would be great,by the grace of God.

Our Correspondent reports that some alumni of the school in diaspora and those in the country initiated and actualise the project.

While some rejoiced over the developmental initiative, others renewed their commitment towards ensuring that the school gets the needed help it deserves.

In his giving his vote of thanks, the General Secretary of the set, Elijah Ogunyemi, said the inauguration of the project was laudable.
