Gov.Ganduje Appoints Ex-NAN Staff As Senior Special Assistant

Gov.Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has approved the appointment of a former Deputy Editor-In-Chief with the News Agency of Nigeria(NAN),Malam Abdullahi Yusuf, as his Senior Special Assistant on Information.

The Letter of Appointment was conveyed to Malam Yusuf by the State Commissioner of Information,Malam Mohammed Garba, on Tuesday in Kano.

The Letter was signed by the Permanent Secretary, Research, Evaluation and Political Affairs Directorate(REPA), Hajiya Bilkisu Maimota, on behalf of the Secretary to the State Government.

It said that the appointment, which took effect on July 25,2022, “was made upon careful assessment of your credentials,competence, track record of performance, dedication to duty, vast experience, patriotic disposition and express loyalty.

“It is hoped that you will employ these qualities to bear towards ensuring effective discharge of your assigned duties,” the document added.

Yusuf,who holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communication,among other professional qualifications, retired as the Zonal Manager, NAN,Jos, on Dec.15,2021, having attained the mandatory retirement age of 60 years.
