Join PDP to rebuild Nigeria,Okowa urges Nigerians

The running mate of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar,the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) in next year electíon, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa,has urged members of the party and Nigerians in general to join hands with the party to rescue Nigeria from the challenges bedevilling the country.

Okowa, who is the Governor of Delta State, gave the advice on Thursday in Abuja during his acceptance speech after Atiku announced him as his running for the planned presidential poll.

He further advised Nigerians to create a new approach to political issues as well as key into a new commitment which the nation yearned for.

According to him, PDP has solutions to the nation’s problems,if given the mandate to govern the country next year under the leadership of Atiku Abubakar.

Okowa, however, reminded Nigerians that for such to become a reality require a lot of commitment and unity from all Nigerians from various wards, local governments and states.

He expressed confidence in the capacity of PDP to provide answers to Nigeria’s problems, as explained in Atiku’s book, ‘My covenant with Nigeria’.

He described the book as something worth studying, adding that it something put together that presidential candidates of other parties had not been able to do.

“When you go through it, you will find solutions to our problems. I must appreciate our presidential candidate, publicly, for making this happen early enough,”Okowa said.

He noted that while many people were speaking to Nigerians, based on social media reports, Atiku took time to understudy Nigeria, in view of his past experience about Nigeria and how he was able to find solutions to the nation’s problems.

The Delta governor appreciated members of the National Working Committee(NWC) of the party and his colleagues for finding him worthy to be on the ticket for the forthconing presidential election and called on members to put hands on deck for the electoral victory of the party next year.
