The Nigerian Senate has received a request from President Muhammadu Buhari to confirm the nomination of Mr Joe Michael Ohiani as substantive Director General/CEO of the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission, ICRC.
The request was contained in a letter dated 6th June, 2022.
The President’s letter was read at the commencement of plenary proceedings by the Senate President, Dr Ahmad Lawan.
According to Buhari, the confirmation request is in accordance with the provision of section 22(1)(a) of the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (Establishment) Act, 2005.

Mr Joseph Ohiani has been piloting the affairs of the Commission since the death of the former Director General, Engr. Chidi Izuwa, in 2021.
