Former Governorship Candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for Kogi State, Barrister (Mrs) Natasha Apoti- Uduaghan, now a member of the Peoples Democratic Party( PDP,) has emerged candidate of the party to contest the Senatorial seat for kogi state central district.
Apoti-Uduaghan won 159 votes to defeated her closest rival, Mamud Adenu Attah, who scored 13 votes,Etudaye Muhammed Adomu, Ibrahim Yakubu Adoke and Itopa Onimisi all did not score any vote.
Mr Muhammed Hassan, the returning Officer, announced the results on Wednesday in Okene.
Reacting to her victory while addressing Journalists, Apoti-Uduaghan,who expressed joy, commended the peaceful conduct of the exercise.
She deducted her victory to God and promised to continue with her good work, if elected.
Natasha advised her co- contestants to join hands with her so that they could team up to enable PDP to win the general elections.
Senator Dino Malate,who lost bid to get ticket to represent the people of Kogi West Senatorial district of the state, having lost to TJ Yusuf,attributed the development to “gang up”.
According to Domestic Politics,also in he central senatorial district of the state, Saliu Salawu Ogembe emerged as the candidate for Okene/Ogori-Magongo constituency, while Aloysius Adeiza Okino emerged as the party’s candidate for Ajaokuta constituency.
It added that a former Okehi Local Government Chairman, Abdulmalik Abdulraheem Danga emerged as Adavi/Okehi Reps.flag-bearer.
in the state House of Assembly primaries, Ovurevu Sheidu Abara emerged in Adavi, while Mohammed Haruna Ganaja emerged in Ajaokuta.
A former publicity secretary of the Kogi PDP, Bode Ogunmola,picked the ticket for Ogori-Magongo, while Onivehu Musa Siyaka emerged in Okehi.
Ajanaku Tijani Umar emerged in Okene II Constituency.
