More economic empowerment for people of Kabba/Ijumu Federal Constituency,if,,,,,,Speaker

The Speaker,Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Matthew Kolawole, has promised the people of Kabba/Ijumu Federal Constituency of improved economic empowerment programmes,if they give him the mandate to represent them at the House of Representatives,next year.

He made the promise on Friday at the ongoing Madia Parley at the NUJ Press Centre,organised by the Nigeria Union Journalists, (NUJ), Kogi State Council in Lokoja for politicians seeking election at the National Assembly from the state across all political divides.

According to him, his political pedigree over the years would provide him a strong base to lobby for more dividends of democracy to his constituents at the national level, if he wins the election

Kolawole,who recalled that he has economic empowerment programme through which he has been uplifting the life of youths, students and widows among others from poverty assured the people of enhanced efforts if voted to the House of Representatives.

On insecurity, the speaker argued that though he is not a security expert, he recently donated a Sienna bus and a motorcycle to Vigilante in Kabba to aid their efforts in curbing insecurity and enable farmers return to farm without recourse to attack by criminals.

In his closing remarks, the chairman of the council, Alhaji Adeiza Momohjimoh, described the speaker as a media friendly individual and urged Journalists to give him the needed publicity to boost the success of his political ambition.
