A cleric, Malam Musa Bello, has called on muslims to emulate the life style of Prophet Muhammad by being kind to all people and fear Almighty Allah in their conduct as exemplified by the Prophet.

He made the call in his sermon at LGEA Primary School, Gadumo Eid praying ground in Lokoja on Monday , while preaching at this year Eid-el-fitri.

The religious leader also called on the muslims to shun corruption, oppression, cultism among other sinful ways to ensure entrance to aljanah on the day of judgement.

Bello said:”Don’t not allow yourself to be taken my material things, always be in remembrance of Allah and be committed to prayer and maintain all the lessons of ramadan you learnt during the 30-day Ramada fasting.

“Exihibit all acts of kindness beyond ramadan fasting, this is necessary to reduce poverty as it is in conformity with the injunction of Islam and our prophet.

“Any muslim that cares for his family alone is trading in the loss,
in what ever position you find yourself, don’t use it to oppress others.

“The poor should not envy the rich but continue to pray to almighty Allah to attain such position. It is Allah that has power to give position to people.

“Husband and wife should have positive home and be exemplary in their conduct, to enable them produce children with good moral character that will contribute their qouta towards solving societal problems.

“When you say government is bad, check your life style,as a muslim, and see if such life style is at variance with your criticism of the government policies and programmes.”

According to Bello, experience shows that parents who run positive home and exemplary I character, produce morally children and help the society to raise future good leaders.

He said that some muslim leaders associated with “satanic lifestyle” might have copied such negative conduct from their parents and transferred that to their manner of leadership in whatever capable they might be.

“The lifestyle of the children, the future leaders, either good or negative, in most cases is traceable to their parents, therefore muslim parents must make sure they train their children, values that are in line with the injunction of Islam

He also urged parents to use Prophet muhammad as mirror by living righteous life and extend that to their children.
